About Me
Lisa Daniels
I received my first camera when I was eight years old. It was a Diana F+ film camera and my first shoot was at the Fresno Zoo. Taking pictures of all the animals gave me a sense of inexplicable happiness. Years later, I received a Kodak Pocket Instamatic with a telephoto lens. I took pictures of my friends and always had an excuse to bring my camera with me.
Being behind the lens still brings me joy, even after all of these years. It is my way of preserving history and creating a vision for all to enjoy.
Each photo purchase benefits the Unsung Heroes Living History Project, a nonprofit organization that preserves and collects narratives of veterans of African descent while teaching youth the documentary and exhibit curation processes.
